Inner Terrestrials

Inner Terrestrials are a London punk group formed in 1994. They play a mix of punk with dub, ska and folk influences, and are associated with anarchic dance-oriented live shows and the UK dub-punk sound.

Line-up

The original members are J on vocals and guitars and Fran on bass and vocals. They team up with drummer Paco, who comes from Conflict, from 1996.

Releases

Their debut album IT! appears soon after the 1996 line-up took shape, issued on self-release, Massprod and Maloka. A live album, Escape From New Cross, follows in 1997 on vinyl only through Maloka. The Enter The Dragon EP arrives in 1999 on vinyl and CD via Maloka, and the single Barry Horne is released in 2002 on CD in a DIY format.

After a cover of The Clash’s Guns Of Brixton, the band release their second studio album, X, in 2004 on Massprod and Maloka.

Activity

Inner Terrestrials tour widely across Europe and have played in 20 countries and at numerous festivals. Their performances take them to a range of venues and informal spaces, including bars, squats, barns, fields and festival sites.
