Inego

Inego are a Manchester rock quartet formed in 2007 by a group of friends. The name comes from the character Inigo from The Princess Bride. The band plays a mix of rock and power pop with influences that are described as ranging from The Stone Roses, Oasis, James and The Cure to Third Eye Blind, Guns N’ Roses and Alkaline Trio.

Line-up

The group consists of Toby Belshaw on lead guitar and vocals, Chris “Colombo” Buckley on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Peter Mckenzie Hodge on drums and percussion with backing vocals, and Mike “The Dark Lord” Brigg on bass.

History

After a short break in 2009 because one member had a serious illness, the band returns with new material and continues to perform widely. Their music is described in contemporary comments as catchy rock and as promising power pop rock from Manchester.
