Incite

Incite is an American heavy metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, active since 2004. The group performs in a heavy style associated with thrash metal, groove metal, hardcore and thrashcore.

Line-up

The band consists of Richie Cavalera on vocals, Christopher Elsten on bass, Lennon Lopez on drums and Eli Santana on guitars. Earlier line-up information in the available material also names Layne Richardson on guitars and Christopher “EL” on bass.

Recording and sound

Incite’s third full-length album, Up In Hell, is described as a release that underlines the band’s position in heavy metal. The album is made with producer Matt Hyde, who has worked with Deftones and Slayer, and it features dense grooves, thrashing guitar work and forceful rhythms.

Tours and recognition

The band tours with acts including Dillinger Escape Plan, Soulfly, Throwdown and Cavalera Conspiracy. It also receives attention from Kerrang!, Revolver and ARTISTdirect. On radio and specialist metal programming, tracks such as “Army of Darkness,” “The Devil’s Dozen” and “The Aftermath” reach the Top 40 on Sirius Metal Charts and Liquid Metal.
