Imperial Triumphant

Imperial Triumphant is a New York, United States group active since 2005. Its line-up includes Maelström, Naargryl Fjellkrieger, Amarok Myrvandr, Zachary Ilya Ezrin, Alex Cohen, Erik Malave, Kenny Grohowski, Steve Blanco and Max Gorelick. The group is associated with avant-garde metal, black metal, death metal, dissonant black metal, dissonant death metal and metal.

The project presents itself as a view of New York City in extreme musical form, using the city’s scale, chaos, danger and decay as central themes. Its imagery contrasts high society with urban filth and corruption, and frames the city as a place of both grandeur and deterioration.
