Illustrious

Illustrious is a collaborative electronic project formed in 2000 by Vince Clarke and Martyn Ware. The pair release the albums Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle and Pretentious, both of which focus on ambient textures and atmospheric sound design. Their work continues as an ongoing project, built around assembling a distinctive catalogue of material.

The project’s output includes House of Illustrious, a box set that brings together eight CDs of unreleased material alongside the two original albums.
