iamamiwhoami

iamamiwhoami is a Swedish electronic and audiovisual group made up of Jonna Lee and producer Claes Björklund. It begins in 2009 and is active on the label To whom it may concern., which Jonna Lee founds and runs. The project sits within art pop, avant-garde pop, electronic, electropop, indietronica and pop, and is also associated with synthpop, ambient and experimental music.

Project and collaborators

The project centres on the collaboration between Lee, who is also known as ionnalee, and Björklund. Its visual output also involves director Robin Kempe-Bergman, set designer Agustín Moreaux, cinematographer John Strandh and fashion designer Mathieu Mirano. The group uses video as a major part of its presentation, with its music and visuals distributed widely through YouTube and viral video formats.

Label and visual collective

From 2012, iamamiwhoami releases work on its own label, To whom it may concern., and in 2014 Lee founds WAVE, a directors collective within that label. WAVE includes Jonna Lee, John Strandh and Agustín Moreaux, and is credited with the project’s visual work.
