I Promised The World is a Denton, Texas emocore band active since 2021. The group previously uses the name Sinema and works in emo, melodic metalcore, metalcore, pop screamo, post-hardcore, and screamo.

Line-up

The band includes Zain Omar, Rivers Shutt, Hunter Wilson, and Jackson Douglas. Earlier line-ups also include Caleb Molina, Mason Nowlin, Aidan Vickers, and Mason Zschau. In the later version of the group, Hunter Wilson handles unclean and clean vocals, Rivers Shutt plays bass, and Zain Omar plays synthesizer.

Name

The name I Promised The World comes from a Saosin lyric in the song “Translating the Name”, which includes the line “I promised the world and a dozen roses”. The change from the former name is described as a legal decision.
