I AM is a United States group associated with alternative rock and progressive rock. The band forms after the Las Vegas group Shatterbone breaks up, with the rhythm section staying together and recruiting Frank Klepacki as drummer. Its sound is described as being heavily influenced by Tool and Soundgarden.

Recording history

I AM releases one album, There’s a Home, in 1995. It is the first full-length recording to feature Frank Klepacki’s drumming. The group also records the track “Destructible Times,” which appears as the end theme for Nod in Tiberian Dawn.

Activity

The group is active in 1995 and breaks up in the same year.
