Hundred Year Old Man
Hundred Year Old Man is a Leeds-based UK post-metal group active since 2015. The band works across doom metal, drone, post-metal, post-rock and sludge metal.
Formation and early development
The group begins with an improvisation session in a damp terrace basement in late spring 2013. The session is recorded, but the band does not move forward immediately. About 18 months later, the recording is revisited, edited and reworked, and the project expands from there.
Line-up and collaboration
The band includes David Ashley Duxbury and Owen Pegg. Earlier material involves Dan, Owen and Tom, and the group later grows by working with other artists. Paul McClure and Philip Donnelly from Stand-Up Guy contribute to the band’s first release.
