Hummune

Hummune is a heavy metal band from Southampton. The group forms in late summer 2009 when three friends leave their previous bands and start a new project. The line-up features Stuart Woodward on guitar and vocals, Mike Barrow on bass and vocals, and Rik Godfrey on drums.

Style and influences

The band describes its sound as a three-piece metal, rock and noise mix. Its wider stylistic associations include hardcore, deathrock, thrash metal and anarcho-punk. Background

Hummune is made up of former members of Older than Dirt, Kill-Joy, Dissentient Revolt and Parade of Enemies. The group name is explained as meaning “immune to humans”.

Recordings

The band records its first EP, Three Song EP, for M.R.S. Records. The release contains three tracks.
