Hulvey

Hulvey is a Christian rapper, singer and producer from Brunswick, Georgia. His music reflects personal experiences and Christian faith, and his early work is tied closely to his move from college into a full-time pursuit of music. He drops out of college to focus on his music career and works in a Publix supermarket while developing his sound, even scrubbing toilets at the store to support himself.

His debut five-track EP, Prelude, introduces that background through a mix of introspective writing and faith-based themes. He creates the EP with executive producer Zach Paradis. The release includes the single “Mad Today,” which focuses on inner conflict, frustration and a desire to live by what matters most. His style combines unapologetic rap bars with raw, personal lyricism over pounding drums.

Hulvey sends music to Ben Washer, co-founder and CEO of Reach Records, before eventually becoming part of the label’s roster. His work is linked to the Reach Records scene and to contemporary Christian hip-hop. Alongside making music, he also helps to launch a church in his free time with City of Refuge ATL, a non-profit that works with families in crisis on Atlanta’s westside.

His early career is shaped by a sense of spiritual direction and a shift away from chasing fame. That theme runs through his songs, which move between reflection, struggle and trust in God.
