Hujaboy

Hujaboy is the psytrance project of Nir Shoshani, a producer and DJ from Jerusalem, Israel. He begins DJing and producing trance in 1996 and releases albums and compilation tracks on a wide range of trance labels, including Spun Records, TIP World, HOMmega Productions, Phonokol and BNE.

Career

In 1998, Shoshani forms Gorlation Corporation with Assaf Dor. The duo releases tracks on compilations in different countries before splitting up, after which he starts working under the Hujaboy name and joins HOMmega Productions.

Releases and projects

His debut album, Hujajoy, appears on HOMmega in 2002 and focuses on tech trance and progressive sounds. He then releases Sonic Tonic, which shifts toward full-on psychedelic trance. In 2005, he releases E-jekt - Dark fader, the debut of his side project with Uri Azene.

Later activity

At the time described, Shoshani is working on an album for TIP World. His music is presented as hard-edged and rhythmically direct within the psytrance field.
