Huerco S.

Huerco S. is the main recording and performing alias of Brian Leeds, an American producer and DJ from Emporia, New York, who is based in Brooklyn. Under this name, he releases music that draws on house, techno and ambient, and is often described with terms such as outsider house and new dark swing.

Releases and labels

Leeds begins issuing music as Huerco S. in 2011, starting with a run of 12-inch records. He follows these with two full-length albums: Colonial Patterns in 2013 and For Those of You Who Have Never (and Also Those Who Have) in 2016. His work under this alias appears on labels including Software, Opal Tapes, Future Times and, most frequently, Proibito.

Other aliases and label work

Alongside Huerco S., Leeds also releases material as Royal Crown of Sweden, Independence Ave. Orchestra and Pendant. In 2017, he founds the label West Mineral Ltd.
