Hubcap

Hubcap is a group from Evanston, United States, active from 1990 to 1996. The name is used by more than one band, but this entry refers to the Chicago-area emo, punk and indie rock group formed in 1990 by Billy Smith, Andy Zboralski and Jay Ryan. The group is also linked with ska and 1990s underground rock contexts.

Chicago line-up and recordings

The Chicago Hubcap records one album, Those Kids are Wierd, which appears in 1996 on Actionboy and 54-40 Or Fight! Steve Albini and Dylan Posa help record it. The group’s members and former members also have links with Dianogah, Whelms, Haymarket Riot, Traitors, Orwell, Whaler and Body Mask.
