Hovvdy

Hovvdy is an Austin-based duo made up of Charlie Martin and Will Taylor. The group forms in 2014 and remains active. The name is pronounced “howdy”.

Martin and Taylor are both primarily drummers. They meet in the autumn of 2014 and bond over an interest in quiet music. Within a few weeks, they combine songs and begin recording their first EP in bedrooms and family homes across Texas.
