Houdini Dax
Houdini Dax are a Welsh group associated with garage rock, indie rock, mod, alternative and Britpop. Their sound combines Britpop, Beatles-like melody and the energy of new wave, with a mod-influenced style and an emphasis on melody.
The group receives support from writers and critics including John Robb, Louder Than War and Mark Beaumont of The Guardian. They also win the Horizons Scheme, an industry-led initiative run by BBC Wales in conjunction with Arts Council for Wales. As part of that recognition, they receive extensive BBC airplay and a BBC Maida Vale live session.
