Hospital Food
Hospital Food is the name of two punk acts: a melodic punk band from Salt Lake City, Utah, and a hardcore punk/Oi band from West Yorkshire, England.
Salt Lake City punk band
The Salt Lake City group forms in 1995 and plays original melodic punk. The band releases two albums: Suburban Zoo on Sickboy Records and Medicate on New School Records. Its members are Luke Watkins on vocals and guitar, Steve Fox on guitar and vocals, Kris Memmott on bass, and Gentry Bauer on drums. The band gains local, national and international recognition and is described as one of the most entertaining groups in the Utah punk scene. Its music varies in tempo and style.
West Yorkshire hardcore punk/Oi band
The West Yorkshire Hospital Food is a three-piece hardcore punk and Oi band with an 1980s influence. The group describes itself as made up of two older punks and a younger punk, drawing on influences from 1976 to the present. Its line-up is Savage on bass and vocals, Nathan “Nocker” Seaton on guitar and vocals, and Kev Grainger on drums. The band has been active for three years, has had some member changes, and has played with acts including Cockney Rejects, UK Subs, 999, Test Tubes, Red Alert, Abrasive Wheels, One Way System and Henry Cluney, as well as many local bands.
