Horsegirl is a North American rock band from Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. The band members are Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein and Gigi Reece. The group originated in 2019 and they self-released their first song, "Forecast", that year. Their first full-length studio album was released in June 2022 on Matador records, titled "Versions of Modern Performance". Their second studio album entitled "Phonetics On and On" was released on February 14th, 2025, also on Matador.
