Horsegirl

Horsegirl is a Chicago-based indie rock band active since 2019. The group consists of Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein and Gigi Reece.

They self-release their first song, “Forecast”, in 2019. Their debut full-length album, Versions of Modern Performance, is issued by Matador and appears in 2022. The band’s second studio album, Phonetics On and On, also comes out on Matador in 2025.

Their sound sits across dream pop, experimental rock, indie rock, noise pop and shoegaze.
