Honesty

Honesty is the name used by more than one act. The name is associated with a hardcore band from Poltava, Ukraine, and with German electronic producer Hans Schaaf, who is based in Berlin and works in trance and future jazz as a producer and mastering engineer. It is also used by a separate duo formed in 2003.

Hardcore band from Ukraine

The Ukrainian Honesty is a hardcore band from Poltava, influenced by Insted, No For An Answer and Rearranged. The group releases a four-track demo through Backed Up Records in 2010. The band is associated with youth crew, hardcore punk and straight edge.

German electronic producer

Another Honesty is Hans Schaaf, a German trance and future jazz producer and mastering engineer from Berlin.

Japanese duo

A further act called Honesty forms in 2003 and consists of bassist Takakuwa Kiyoshi of Great 3 and guitarist Aida Shigekazu of Foe and EL-MALO. The duo releases two albums, including American Rock, and its sound is described as close to Great 3 and Curly Giraffe because Takakuwa writes the main material. The group stops activity by late 2006 and remains inactive thereafter.
