Homework

Homework is a Dutch house and tech-house duo from the Netherlands. The group consists of Tom Waist and Zip Stolk and forms around Amsterdam, with roots in the city’s Concerto record store.

Style and activity

The duo works across house music with influences from classic Chicago house and modern deep house. Their sound and DJ sets are described as eclectic and versatile, and their tags also place them in deep house, funky and electro territory.

Releases and labels

Homework releases music on labels including Exploited, 2020 Vision, Made To Play and Snatch!. Their tracks and remixes receive support from artists such as Soul Clap, Axel Boman, Oliver $, Jimpster, Derrick Carter and Laurent Garnier.

Performances and status

The duo tours internationally and performs at venues including Panorama Bar in Berlin, Social Club in Paris and Studio 80 in Amsterdam. The act disbands in 2016.
