Home Counties

Home Counties is a five-piece group from Bristol, United Kingdom. The band works in noise pop, with tags also placing it alongside post-punk, crank wave, post-Brexit new wave, indie rock and dance-punk. Its sound combines angular guitar parts with forceful percussion, and the group describes itself as having two guitars, two vocals, pizza, beer and a laptop.

The band develops out of an earlier project called Haze, which builds a profile supporting acts including Shame and Pip Blom. Home Counties makes melodically rigid songs with socially charged lyrics, using tongue-in-cheek and satirical writing. The group is based in Bristol and presents itself as loud, childish and aggressive in style.
