Holy Fuck

Holy Fuck is a Canadian electronica band from Toronto that forms in 2004 and remains active. The group works in electronic, electronic rock, instrumental and post-rock, and it is known for building its sound from live drums and bass rather than programmed backing tracks.

The lineup includes Brian Borcherdt, Graham Walsh, Matt Schulz, Matt McQuaid, Michael Bigelow, Loel Campbell, Kevin Lynn, Glenn Milchem and Brad Kilpatrick. Borcherdt and Walsh are original and core members, with Schulz on drums and McQuaid on bass.

The band uses toy keyboards, guitar pedals, mixers and a 35mm film synchronizer to create music that resembles modern electronic production without relying on laptops or other standard electronic performance tools. It also plays live without rehearsing, using the same duct-taped keyboards and film equipment in performance.

Holy Fuck appears at major festivals including Glastonbury, Roskilde, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock and All Tomorrow's Parties. It also tours with and supports artists including M.I.A., Wolf Parade, !!!, Mouse on Mars, Cornelius, Super Furry Animals and Phoenix.
