Holly Miranda

Holly Miranda is an American indie rock singer-songwriter and musician from Detroit. She is also a folk rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. She is trained in piano and is self-taught on guitar and trumpet.

Early work and projects

In 2001, Miranda records a 20-track solo album titled High Above The City, which is available only at shows. In 2003, she meets producer and keyboard player Alex Lipsen, and the project develops into The Jealous Girlfriends, a four-piece band based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She also performs and records under the name Raven Mayhem.

Releases and collaborations

Miranda releases an EP and a solo album in 2009. That album is produced by Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio and Katrina Ford of Celebration. In 2015, she signs to Dangerbird Records and releases a full-length self-titled solo album.
