Hold Tight

Hold Tight is a UK drum and bass group. The lineup includes Killa B, Danny HoldTight, James Davis and Lomax. The act also appears as Holdtight.

Releases and activity

From 2003, Hold Tight release several 12-inch vinyl records on multiple labels. Their album Old & New follows this period of releases.

Notable tracks and remixes

The group records Dirty Habits and 9-2-5, both of which receive support from Andy C and appear on the Nightlife compilation and J Majik’s Fabric mix CD. Hold Tight also produces an official drum and bass remix of Candi Staton’s You’ve Got The Love, remixes the UK hip hop track UK Bubblers by Skitz, Rodney P and Skeme, and works on Cyantific’s Output for Hospital Records.

Style and related work

Hold Tight is associated with drum and bass, liquid funk and jungle. After the release of Old & New, Lomax moves into solo work with a more minimal approach.
