Hogjaw

Hogjaw is a southern rock band from Arizona, United States. The group forms as a quartet: Jonboat Jones on vocals and guitar, Kreg Self on lead guitar, Elvis DD on bass, and J. “Kwall” Kowalski on drums.

The band forms in late 2006 after jamming sessions that lead the members to realise they have something worth developing. The members are friends from high school, and they share a common aim centred on rock music. Their background includes years spent in label bands, touring widely, and playing acoustic guitars in the hills around their home area.

The band’s sound is rooted in the American Southwest and is associated with southern rock, hard rock and stoner rock. Their songs are presented as the main outlet for the group’s style and identity.
