Hoffmaestro & Chraa
Hoffmaestro & Chraa is a Swedish ska group. The band is associated with ska, reggae and live performance, and is known for a stage style built around energy and an experimental sound. Kaliffa is a member of the group.
Background
The group first reaches a wider Swedish audience through the feature film Stockholm Boogie, for which it provides about 80% of the soundtrack. Before its debut album, The Storm, it releases several EPs.
Musical influences and live work
Its sound draws on a wide range of influences, including Funkadelic, Manu Chao, Dr. John, Guns N' Roses, David Ruffin and the Beastie Boys. The band also plays at Swedish festivals including Peace & Love, Arvikafestivalen, Siesta! and Putte i parken.
