HK119

HK119 is the performance and recording name of Finnish artist Heidi Kilpeläinen, based between Finland and London. The project presents a dystopian view of modern life, focusing on consumerism, mass media and the growing role of technology in everyday existence. It examines the tension between humanity and machinery, and treats HK119 as a voice commenting on that relationship from within the system it critiques.

The character is described as both Amazonian and robotic, combining a striking visual persona with themes drawn from the contemporary human condition. HK119 frames modern society as a place where individuality is under pressure from advertising, media saturation and technological intrusion. The project is associated with electronic and experimental music.
