High Eight
High Eight is the solo project of Neil Briggs, who first emerges in breaks as one half of Future Funk Squad with Glen Nicholls. The pair collaborate on early releases including Pulse, the first single on Default Records.
Releases and remixes
As High Eight, Briggs releases singles on Re:Connect Records and produces remixes for MBN, Sound Of Habib, En:Vision, and TCR. He also runs Re:Connect.
DJ work and broadcasting
As a DJ, High Eight plays across the UK alongside Rennie Pilgrem, Chris Carter, Freestylers, and Stanton Warriors. He also performs internationally at events including the Love Parade in San Francisco and Earthdance in Los Angeles.
Briggs makes his Breakspoll debut in 2006 with a set at Fabric in London. He presents The Re:Connect Show on NSB Radio, a fortnightly two-hour mix programme broadcast on Wednesdays from 21:00 to 23:00 GMT, featuring classic and upfront selections plus guest mixes from established and emerging DJs.
