Hibernation

Hibernation is the ambient and electronic downtempo project of Seb Taylor, who is also known for work under the names Shakta, Digitalis, Kaya Project and Angel Tears. The project focuses on a blend of organic and electronic elements, and sits between Taylor’s better-known musical identities.

Releases

The debut Hibernation album, Some Things Never Change, is released by Aleph Zero, a label associated with psychedelic chillout music.

Related act with the same name

There is also a separate band called Hibernation, known in Greek as Χειμερία Νάρκη, from Athens. That group forms in 1997 and plays metallic crust punk and stenchcore. It releases two 7-inch EPs and a full-length album, Into the Silence of Eternal Sorrows, on Skuld Records. Its line-up features both male and female vocals, and its sound is fast and heavy. Former members have also played in Chaotic End. The band gains a following outside Greece and tours Europe.
