Hexed Hands
Hexed Hands are a Swiss electronic group from Zurich, made up of Carlos Perón, Boris Blank and Dieter Meier. The act works in electronic, electronica, electropop, new wave, synth-pop and techno.
The group begins in 2010, when Jordan Gelling and Jahn “Lex” Alexander meet during a music course and first perform under the names Mt. Green and The Clings. Jon M. Dawes then joins, and the band takes the name Hexed Hands. In its early period, the group plays occasional one-off shows in local pubs and records demos at home and in the studio on analog tape. After live performances, it gives out sample CDs of those demos, wrapped in origami-folded newspaper, to audience members.
Hexed Hands also plays notable venues in England and appears at Kendal Calling Festival in 2011, on a bill that includes Blondie, Echo & The Bunnymen and The Cribs. The group later goes on hiatus in 2012 so its members can focus on other projects.
