Herbie Treehead is a London-based children’s artist. In 1998 he produces an album of original music intended for both children and adults. The album Sleepy songs and not very sleepy songs is assembled to accompany his theatre production Cherub's Garden.

Cherub's Garden is a success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for two years in a row and then transfers to the Royal National Theatre in London. Copies of the album are made on CD and distributed several years later, and bootlegs of Sleepy songs and not very sleepy songs continue to circulate internationally. The album is reissued in 2005.
