Heartical is a reggae artist and long-time member of Jah Roots. He also works as a dub and electronica producer in the Netherlands and is described as an early member of Jah Roots, a group established in 1987 and known as the house band of the Dubroom.

In the late 1980s, Heartical works with Messian Dread and others to develop his reggae and dub playing, and he continues to produce dub and electronica. The name Heartical is also used for a reggae soundsystem in France.
