Heartbreak Remedy

Heartbreak Remedy forms in early 2013 after a night out discussing music and ideas, with bass and vocals provided by Matty and drums by Stephen. Matty and Stephen have played together for more than 13 years before starting the group, and they set out to write and perform original material. Luke joins after Stephen knows him from travelling together and talking about music, and Callum completes the line-up after Matty and Stephen hear about his playing. The first rehearsal happens within 48 hours, and the band has three songs written at that point.

The group builds a profile on the UK rock circuit, with radio play on rock stations and bookings at festivals and other gigs around the UK. In early 2014, Heartbreak Remedy signs up for a UK tour in May with Chicago band The Last Vegas, who have played with acts including Mötley Crüe, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Rob Zombie and Buckcherry.

By 2024, the band consists of guitarist Luke Blair, lead vocalist Matty Penn and drummer Stephen Jackson. That year they release the album Let The Good Times Roll and unveil a video for the single “Working Man Blues”.
