Hear'Say

Hear'Say are a British europop group from the United Kingdom, active from 2001 to 2002. They form through the ITV reality television series Popstars in February 2001, the first UK edition of the international format. The original line-up comprises Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan. Later in the group’s brief history, Johnny Shentall joins as a replacement for Marsh.

Career

The group signs to Polydor Records and quickly achieves major commercial success with the debut single Pure and Simple and the album Popstars. Their second album does not match the same level of success. In January 2002, Marsh leaves after reported conflicts with Klass and Sullivan, and Shentall enters the group the following month.

During a summer promotional tour, Hear'Say face frequent harassment from members of the public. Their only release featuring Shentall, Lovin' Is Easy, does not become a significant commercial success. The group announces its split in October 2002, citing public abuse as one of the reasons for the decision.

After the split

Following the breakup, all of the members pursue individual careers in the entertainment industry.
