HBS (Hunter Benedict Shepherd) is the solo project of Ben Shepherd, bass player for influential grunge band Soundgarden. Initially beginning as an acoustic project, Shepherd's first solo album In Deep Owl quickly received help from collaborators including Pearl Jam drummer/Soundgarden bandmate Matt Cameron, and former Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain. In Deep Owl was released August 27th, 2013.
