Hayley Kiyoko is an American singer and actress from Los Angeles, California. Born in 1991, she also works as a songwriter and director. Her full name is Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft, and she is the daughter of figure skater and choreographer Sarah Kawahara and actor and comedian Jamie Alcroft. Her mother is from Canada and her father is from Ohio.

Music career

Kiyoko begins her solo career with the EP A Belle to Remember in 2013, which includes the single “Rich Youth”. Her breakthrough comes with This Side of Paradise, released in early 2015, led by “Girls Like Girls”. The song’s video gains more than 100 million views on YouTube.

At the end of 2016, she releases the major-label EP Citrine, which includes “Pretty Girl” and “Palace”. She follows it with a nationwide “One Bad Night Tour”, playing sold-out headline shows across the United States.

Her debut studio album, Expectations, is released in 2018 and is preceded by the singles “Sleepover”, “Feelings” and “Curious”. The album reaches the top 20 in the United States, Canada and Australia.

Other work

Kiyoko also creates a comic book based on her song “Gravel to Tempo”, with Naomi Franquiz and Marla Vazquez.

Earlier group work

She is a founding member of The Stunners, formed in 2007. The group supports Justin Bieber on the My World Tour before disbanding in 2011. She is also listed as a member of Lemonade Mouth.
