Haviah Mighty

Haviah Mighty is a Toronto rapper, singer and producer from Brampton, Ontario, who begins making music in childhood and develops a career across solo work and group projects. She starts singing at the age of four, rapping at 11 and producing at 15. She releases music independently from 2009 and is also one of the three MCs in The Sorority, a hip-hop group formed during an all-female cypher on International Women’s Day in 2016.

Solo work

Mighty’s solo profile grows through releases such as Flower City, which helps push her further into wider recognition. Her track “Vámonos” appears in HBO’s Insecure. She is also named a winner of the 2018/2019 Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class.

Style and recognition

Her live shows are known for high-intensity delivery and fast, technical flows. In 2019, she is named by XXL as one of its 15 Toronto rappers to know. She is associated with hip-hop, rap and contemporary R&B.
