Hatcha is a British DJ and producer associated with dubstep and UK garage. He is from the United Kingdom and becomes closely linked with the early development of dubstep, with a career that spans more than 18 years as a DJ.

Career

Before becoming a widely recognised dubstep DJ, Hatcha works as an A&R man and shop assistant at Big Apple Records. He is described as the first major DJ behind the dubstep genre and as having a strong influence on its development. He DJs internationally and releases music on leading labels in the genre.

Recordings and releases

Hatcha mixes the first Dubstep Allstars compilation and later appears on volume 4 alongside Youngsta. He also releases on his own label, Hatched.

Radio and projects

He presents a weekly radio show on Kiss FM with Crazy D and is the first DJ to host a commercial radio show dedicated entirely to dubstep. Hatcha also launches the Sin City label and events brand with DJ N Type.
