Hatari

Hatari is an Icelandic group from Reykjavík, active since 2015. It is formed by Klemens Hannigan and Matthías Tryggvi Haraldsson, with Einar Stéfansson later joining the line-up. Stéfansson is also known as the guitarist for Vök. Haraldsson leaves the group in March 2023.

The band works in aggrotech, futurepop, industrial techno and techno, and is also associated with industrial, EBM and Icelandic techno. Its music combines dance-focused MIDI-based production with punk and Icelandic doomsday poetry.
