Harry “Choo Choo” Romero is a US DJ and record producer associated with dance and electronica. He is also known by the alias HCCR, and has worked under the names Mongobonix, Constipated Monkeys, The Dronez, Ministers De La Funk, HR & SKI, Nights at the Round Tables and Sympho Nympho.

Career

Romero is linked with the Subliminal label, alongside Erick Morillo and Jose Nunez. He collaborates with them on production and remix work, including releases credited to Constipated Monkeys, The Dronez and Ministers De La Funk. As a solo artist, he releases material under HCCR and Mongobonix.

Labels and releases

He owns Bambossa, a Subliminal sublabel, and releases tracks through it. His releases on the label include “Tania”, “What happened”, “Son of mongo” and “Warped”.

Mixes and performances

Romero mixes entries in the Subliminal Sessions series of compilation CDs, combining Subliminal label material with other contemporary house tracks. He also performs at Subliminal session parties in locations including Pacha in Ibiza.

Collaborations

He works with Erick Morillo and Jose Nunez as part of the Subliminal circle, and also remixes tracks by other artists. One of the named remixes is a version of a Nick & Danny Chatelain track, “Me resuelve”.
