Harry Bird And The Rubber Wellies

Harry Bird And The Rubber Wellies are a nomadic folk-pop collective led by Harry Bird’s songwriting. Their music brings together elements of traditional forms including ballads, reggae and sea-shanties, and is described as an indie-pop-influenced sound.

Band members

The core members are Harry Bird, Christophe Capewell and Patrick Durkan. They meet while studying at Durham University. Maria Blackwell sings on and tours the group’s first album, and she continues to provide album artwork.

The group releases Long Way to Be Free and The Bones on Black on their own label, Hot Drop Records.
