Hard Rock Sofa is a Russian dance music group from Smolensk, Russia. The act forms in 2005 and remains active. Its membership includes Sergey Zuev, Shapov and Денис Чепиков.

The group works in EDM, electro house and progressive house. It is also associated with house, electronic and trance. Hard Rock Sofa builds its profile as a DJ and production act, with tracks and remixes aimed at club and festival settings. Its releases appear on a range of house and electronic labels, including Axtone Records, Size Records, Spinnin' Records, Mixmash Records, Cr2 Records, Doorn Records, One More Tune, PinkStar Records, Kontor, Ministry Of Sound, Nervous and N.E.W.S.
Releases and collaborations
Among its better-known tracks is “Blow Up” on Axtone Records, which reaches No. 2 in Beatport’s Top 100 chart and is later remixed by Axwell and Thomas Gold. The group also records several collaborations with Swanky Tunes, another Russian house project. These include “Thank You / Labyrinth” on Cr2 Records, “Feedback” on Spinnin’ Records, “Steam Gun” on Dirty Dutch Records, and “Smolengrad / United EP”, whose title refers to the group’s hometown, Smolensk.
The Swanky Tunes collaboration “I Wanna Be Your Dog”, a dance cover of The Stooges, appears on Doorn Records and has an official video with over one million views on YouTube. Another track, “Phantom”, is released on One More Tune and is played by Tiësto and Axwell. The group also releases a remix of Morgan Page, BT, Sultan & Ned Shepard’s “In The Air”, which is played at Nocturnal 2011 and is named best remix of 2011 by the French magazine Only For DJs. “Quasar”, released on Axtone Records, is included in sets by members of Swedish House Mafia and is played by them at Madison Square Garden.

Hard Rock Sofa’s tracks and remixes receive support from a wide range of DJs and producers, including Tiësto, David Guetta, Pete Tong, Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Avicii, Kaskade, Bob Sinclar, Sander Van Doorn, Above & Beyond, Dirty South, Markus Schulz, Judge Jules and Roger Sanchez. The group also tours in Europe, the US and Russia and plays clubs and festivals. Its catalogue over its first seven years includes about 30 singles and 80 remixes.
