Halo Tora

Halo Tora are a progressive rock group from Glasgow. Formed in late 2011, they spend 2012 developing their sound before releasing their debut EP, When The Bones Shake, in 2013. The band builds a following through regular gigging, with performances ranging from Inverness to Glasgow, and through activity on their social networking pages.

Style and influences

Their music draws on influences including Mogwai, Oceansize, Karnivool and Hammock. The band’s sound is described as combining delicate, haunting piano melodies and airy guitar lines with heavier, off-kilter guitar riffs and drum patterns.

Line-up

Chris Alexander and Ian McCall share vocal and guitar duties. Kenny Wraight plays bass, Ryan Connery plays piano, and Chris McKeown plays drums.
