Career
Posford releases music as Hallucinogen and also works in the electronic groups Younger Brother and Shpongle. He founds Twisted Records, a label linked to his wider output.
His first studio album, Twisted, appears in 1995 and is regarded as one of the most influential releases in the goa genre. He follows it with The Lone Deranger in 1997 and In Dub in 2002. Portrait of an Artist in Isolation arrives in 2020 and is inspired by the period of global isolation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Live work and style
He tours India several times. His music is described as heavily driven by psychedelia, and he performs sober because of the complexity of operating multiple computers and mixers during events.
Related projects
Younger Brother begins as a side project of Posford and Benji Vaughan, and it marks a move away from earlier material that uses a more synthesised style.
