Hailmary

Hailmary is a hard rock and metal group from Huntington Beach. The band is originally known as Leatherwolf and later uses the name HailMary/Hailmary for its releases and activity.

Line-up

The group features Leatherwolf’s “triple axe attack” line-up of Michael Olivieri on vocals and guitar, Geoff Gayer on guitar, and Carey Howe on guitar, with Patrick Guyton on bass and Marco Forcone on drums.

Recordings and releases

Hailmary records its second EP, A Million Miles And Days, in Georgia, at Cock Of The Walk studios in Kennesaw, with producer Jeff Tomei, who has worked with Jerry Cantrell, the Smashing Pumpkins and Matchbox 20. The band’s debut EP, Lottery Of Life, is released through Firestarter Distribution in late 2008 and is followed by a sold-out release show at The Amplifier Bar in Perth. The debut EP receives three nominations for WAM Hard Rock Song of the Year, and one of them wins the award.

Live activity

Before the trip to Georgia, Hailmary plays a send-off show to a sold-out hometown crowd at The Amplifier Bar in Perth. The band also supports The Screaming Jets and Mammal on their national tours, and it tours the south-east of America for the first time around the period of A Million Miles And Days.

Debut album

HailMary releases its debut album, Disturbing The Peace, through Eonian Records in 2022.
