Haiku Salut
Haiku Salut is an instrumental folktronica group from Derbyshire, made up of Gemma Barkerwood, Sophie Barkerwood and Louise Croft. The band forms in 2010 and remains active. Its sound uses accordions, ukuleles, glockenspiels, pianos, looping and laptop-based electronics, and is compared to early múm, Detektivbyrån and the soundtrack to Amélie.
Releases
The group’s debut EP, How We Got Along After The Yarn Bomb, appears on Team Strike Force! in 2011. Its debut album, Tricolore, comes out on the London label How Does It Feel to be Loved, with the single “Los Elefantes” preceding it as a free download.
