Haevn

Haevn is an Amsterdam-based Dutch collaboration between producer and songwriter Marijn van der Meer and film score composer and producer Jorrit Kleijnen. The duo works in a style that combines cinematic melodies with warm vocals, and it is associated with indie pop, ambient, alternative and electronic music.

Early releases and attention

The project first gains wider attention through the song “Where the Heart Is”. That track is used in a Volvo commercial, after which it climbs the Shazam charts in several European countries. Another song, “Finding Out More”, is then used in a BMW commercial.

Recording and development

For the recording of the two full tracks, Haevn works with producer Tim Bran, who has also worked with London Grammar, Rhodes and Seafret. He invites the duo to record in London. The pair is also working on a debut EP that includes “Where the Heart Is” and “Finding Out More”.
