Habstrakt is a French electronic music producer and DJ from the south of France. Born Adam, he first plays guitar and keyboards before moving on to samplers and grooveboxes at an early stage.

Background and early work

Before focusing on club music, he first becomes interested in trip hop and also writes music for film and theatre. In 2008, he discovers dubstep and drum and bass, then begins producing and DJing.

Releases and support

By 2012, his tracks appear on labels including Buygore and Never Say Die. Those releases draw support from artists such as Flux Pavilion, Borgore and Datsik.

DJ work

He also tours as a DJ across Europe, performing a tight and energetic mix built for dancefloors.
