Gypsyfingers

Gypsyfingers are a UK folk, rock and pop group from Denham, London, active since 2011. The act is the collaborative project of songwriter and composer Victoria Coghlan and producer-musician Luke Oldfield, who is the son of Mike Oldfield, known for Tubular Bells.

Style and approach

Gypsyfingers build their recordings largely from their own playing, with Victoria and Luke performing almost all of the sounds and instruments themselves. Their music combines acoustic and electric textures into layered arrangements that draw on folk, pop, spoken word, classical and electronic elements. The result is a sound described through cinematic, orchestral and subtle soundscape-like qualities.

Debut album

Their debut album, Circus Life, is a song collection shaped by themes of life, love, loss and dreams. It receives positive notice from the UK music press and is praised for sounding fresh and innovative.
