Gypsy Rebel Rabble
Gypsy Rebel Rabble are a Dublin, Ireland-based folk band. They combine a DIY punk approach to songwriting and performance with smooth lead vocals and close harmonies, and they have a reputation for energetic live shows.
Releases
At the end of 2011, the group releases a live album on Excellent Guitar Riff Man Records, an independent label. They also issue the single Norah's Waltz on a split vinyl release with Blind Yackety. Their first studio album, Take My China, is recorded by Gavin Glass. The band also releases The Bastard Baby Brown EP and a third official video.
Live activity
Gypsy Rebel Rabble play a wide range of festivals and shows, including The Shannon Winter Music Festival, Vantastival, Knockanstockan, Dunmoreast Bluegrass Festival, Jack of Diamonds Rhythmn and Roots, The Maiden City Bluegrass Festival and Electric Picnic. They tour Ireland, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, and they also spend ten days touring the UK with Chas Palmer Williams. Their live schedule also includes a two-week European tour and further studio work.
